The company was started in 1988 by the late Craig Stephens, a tertiary-level qualified joiner and carpenter.
Today, Pure Kitchens is still owned by the Stephens family, and managed by Tony Sionetali who has been with the business and the face of the company for the past 17 years.
We believe ‘Joinery’ is the craft of building traditional handcrafted solid wood household items which had its beginnings when doors and windows were made in medieval times for castles and grand structures.
We take pride in continuing and maintaining the knowledge, standards and craftsmanship of these practices which are incorporated in everything we make.
The kitchen is the most important (and expensive) area of the house and encapsulates the design philosophy of the house with style, colour and accessories. Using modern state of the art materials and componentry we aim to make kitchens that are superior in design and construction. Every part of a kitchen receives constant care and attention at all stages, only work we are proud of leaves our factory doors.
Pure kitchens instigated Hamilton’s original Ten Year written Warranty* for domestic joinery twenty years ago which means, along with the standard Lifetime Guarantee on componentry, clients have the peace of mind knowing that they are assured of many years of problem free use of their kitchen.
We don’t make just kitchens though - our experience and expertise is far ranging. Over the years we have manufactured products for every type of construction and institutions throughout Hamilton and the greater Waikato area. Regulary we supply joinery for commercial premises, shop fittings, hotels, motels, bars & restaurants, educational, religious and health facilities, government contracts - we do just about anything.
